SYSTEMS STATUS
Monitoring - OneUSG Connect experienced an unexpected outage from approximately 9:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. and was not available due to an unresponsive server. OneUSG Connect is now available after the server was restarted and the system should be operating normally.

Information Technology Services (ITS) will continue to monitor the situation and will investigate, in partnership with our vendors, to determine a root cause of the unresponsive server.

Investigating - Information Technology Services (ITS) is currently investigating compatibility issues with MacOS 10.15 Catalina and various USO Applications. ITS recommends users refrain from upgrading to the new version of the OS.

ITS will update everyone when it is safe to upgrade to the new version of the OS.

Network Support Services (NSS) will be migrating uplink connections from LAN switches on the first floor. Wireless connectivity will not be affected. This maintenance will occur from Monday, November 18, 2019 at 11:00 p.m. until Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 7:00 a.m.

DB300 first floor wired connections will experience brief service interruptions.

Network Support Services (NSS) has identified an issue on the A9K-24x10GE-TR line card in the TELX2 core router that requires a power cycle of the line card to correct. This maintenance will occur on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 11:00 p.m. until Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 7:00 a.m.

PeopleSoft Financials Update 5.50 will be applied from Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. to Monday, November 25, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. This Oracle annual maintenance includes the following:

- Database Upgrade 12c to 12.2
- PeopleSoft Update Images 9.2.028 – 9.2.032
- New enhancements and functionality

The following applications are not available during this scheduled maintenance window:

- GeorgiaFIRST PeopleSoft Financials production (FPROD)
- PSQUEST access
- GeorgiaFIRST Marketplace access
- Expenses and ePro Self-Service Portal

ACTION NEEDED: In preparation for this release, the institution should take the following steps:

2. Communicate system downtime for Self-Service: GeorgiaFIRST Marketplace (Shoppers, Requesters and Buyers) and Travel & Expenses module.
3. Be prepared to complete all daily transaction processing and have users logged out of PeopleSoft Financials by 5:00 p.m. on November 21, 2019.
4. Obtain Release 5.50 documentation as it becomes available from ITS (Job Aids, Business Processes, Known Issues, etc.).

System Maintenance Scheduled for FPLAY Database Nov 25, 08:00 - Dec 4, 17:00 EST
GeorgiaFIRST will refresh FPLAY Database from Monday, November 25, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. until Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. As a result, FPLAY will be unavailable during this time. The FPLAY environment is used by institutions for GeorgiaFIRST Marketplace training, for prototyping and testing transactions and queries, and for Banner integration testing.

If test users (a user ID that was set up in FPLAY but does not exist in Production) are set up for training and testing purposes, please email the list of User IDs to Teresa Page at teresa.page@usg.edu. Please respond only if test users are unique to FPLAY.  ITS will save these test users and move them back into FPLAY after the refresh. 

If institutional training or testing is scheduled during this time, please adjust your schedule as needed.

Investigating - Information Technology Services (ITS) is currently investigating reports of a service disruption with Brightspace Community and ASC Homepage - Access to create or update Support cases, utilize the Chat channel, End User portals (if applicable), and additional functionality or resources available in the Brightspace Community as of 3:52 p.m. Users at the following Institutions and organizations may be affected:

Resolved - Information Technology Services (ITS) has confirmed that OneUSG Connect Time Clocks intermittent performance issues have been fully remediated and should be operating normally.

Update - As a result of network issues, time clocks may display 'Offline', but remain available for regular use. Time clocks will retain and transfer the punches when the terminals are brought back online. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We have escalated the issue and will continue to provide an update as soon as one is available.

Investigating - Due to network issues, OneUSG Connect Time Clocks are experiencing intermittent connectivity. The Clocks might show 'Offline' but are still usable. The data sent to PeopleSoft might be delayed due to offline status. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We have escalated the issue and will provide an update as soon as one is available.

Investigating - OneUSG Connect is experiencing an intermittent issue impacting access to Self-Service and Careers.  Users may receive an error message that begins “Failed to start the Java Virtual Machine.” 

The issues have been escalated, and they are being reviewed. We will provide updates as they are made available.

We are committed to resolving this issue as quickly as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will provide an update as soon as more information is available.
