New ITS Ticketing System Launch Feb 1, 08:00-17:00 EST
ITS will launch ServiceNow, a new IT ticketing system to replace USGTrackit, at approximately 8:00am on Feb 1, 2017.

ITS customers will continue to request assistance through current methods (helpdesk@usg.edu or 706-583-2011) during and after this time.

Investigating - ITS is currently investigating reports of issues with Blackboard Collaborate Web Conferencing. Blackboard Collaborate Ultra and Classic users on US Hosted SAS are unable to join sessions at this time. Blackboard is working to identify and resolve the issue. Updates will be posted as they become available.

Update - ITS has confirmed with Georgia Public Web that due to the amount of damages, the local provider is unable to supply them with an estimated time of repair. GPW continues to offer assistance as needed, but power must be restored prior to any fiber work taking place.

Affected sites include but are not limited to:

Cordele Center (UCOR.RTR)
Albany Technical College (TALB.RTR)
Augusta University - Albany (GHSUALB.RTR)
All DOE sites served from the Darton AT&T node.

Identified - ITS has confirmed that issues with network outages in the Albany area are being caused by a fiber break. Georgia Public Web technical staff are working to restore full functionality of this system as quickly as possible.

Affected sites include but are not limited to:

Update - Information Technology Services (ITS) is currently investigating reports of an issue with access to the wireless network. Affected users may be experiencing problems connecting or will be prompted for approval of certificate. It is okay to approve the certificate if prompted. Another work around for this issue is by using "Guest Wireless" and then launching VPN.

Resolved - ITS has confirmed that Tower Cloud replaced a faulty module in their equipment and connectivity has been restored to Bainbridge College Early County. No further interruptions are expected.

Identified - Information Technology Services (ITS) is currently investigating issues with the main Helpdesk phone system. When calling the ITS Helpdesk users are receiving a message indicating that the ITS Helpdesk is currently closed in observance of the holiday, however, we are not closed.
