Identified - USG Cybersecurity has received multiple reports of a suspicious email message sent to USO employees. This message has the subject line, "Task” and may appear to be from someone you know. The body of the message contains the following text:

Subject: Task

Network Support Services (NSS) will be upgrading the F5 load balancers in the ITS Data Center (DB300) and UGA Data Center (Boyd). This will occur on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 11:00 p.m. until Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. Services accessed via F5 virtual servers may experience interruptions during this upgrade.


Services Affected: ITS Data Center (DB300) and UGA Data Center (Boyd) F5 LTM services.

Scheduled - GeorgiaFIRST will refresh FPLAY Database from Monday, November 25, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. until Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. As a result, FPLAY will be unavailable during this time. The FPLAY environment is used by institutions for GeorgiaFIRST Marketplace training, for prototyping and testing transactions and queries, and for Banner integration testing.

If test users (a user ID that was set up in FPLAY but does not exist in Production) are set up for training and testing purposes, please email the list of User IDs to Teresa Page at teresa.page@usg.edu. Please respond only if test users are unique to FPLAY.  ITS will save these test users and move them back into FPLAY after the refresh. 

If institutional training or testing is scheduled during this time, please adjust your schedule as needed.

This maintenance will occur on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 9:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The USO Athens Office (DB300), USO Atlanta Office, and Georgia Archives wireless networks may be unavailable at some point during the maintenance window.

The radius.uso.bor.usg.edu certificate that is supplied to everyone's wireless connection is going to be replaced during this maintenance window. Please remember that when the new certificate is applied we believe from past experience that some users will have to accept the new certificate when they attach to the wireless. Some users will also have to remove their connection to the wireless and reconnect to get the new certificate. This new certificate will apply to all users who have machines attached to the wifi network including USO Athens Office (DB300), USO Atlanta Office, and all Georgia Archives locations.
