Update - The splicing team has determined that the damage is located approximately 12 feet underground. The splice crew may require a larger excavator and a shoring box. Work continues to access the damaged cable. No ETR at this time.

Monitoring - Windstream field crews dispatched to an upstream location and replaced the optical transceiver to restore connectivity. The sites are online, but they appear to be bouncing intermittently. ENA remains engaged with Windstream to ensure the services stabilize.

Network Support Services (NSS) will be updating software on the firewall pairs at DB300 (DPA/DPB). These updates should not be service affecting, the firewalls in these pairs will be updated sequentially to ensure no downtime occurs.

This maintenance will occur from Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11:00 p.m. to Friday, September 9, 2025, at 7:00 a.m.

IMPACT: None expected. Each site has a redundant firewall pair, and each member of the pair will be updated in sequence to keep a firewall always operational during the maintenance.
