Resolved - After monitoring the situation, Information Technology Services (ITS) has confirmed the stability of access to GeorgiaBEST Managed Services at Georgia Southern University. The system should continue operating normally.

Scheduled - The University of Georgia (EITS) will conduct biannual network maintenance resulting in intermittent outages of campus Internet access and campus information systems on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 4:00 a.m. until Monday, November3, 2025. UGA’s Single Sign-On (UGA SSO) will be unavailable during this time. This means individuals will not be able to log in to many UGA-provided information systems, including eLearning Commons (eLC)/Brightspace.


Systems that may experience outages during this time include:

-UGA telephone services, including Teams phones & messaging

-Systems, such as certain UGA websites, hosted in the UGA Boyd Data Center

-UGA's Single Sign-On and applications that utilize that service

-UGAMail, VPN, ArchPass Duo, & other systems hosted by UGA's Enterprise Information Technology Services

-UGA Wireless Networks

Multiple KnowBe4 Products — Services Outage
Resolved - Information Technology Services (ITS) has confirmed that all KnowBe4 systems are now operational. While KnowBe4 systems are back to operational, the vendor will be continuing to monitor the health of the overall platform and all its subcomponents to ensure stability.

Investigating - KnowBe4 KSAT User Provisioning and Phish Alert Button are currently unavailable.

The vendor is actively investigating elevated error rates and loading issues across multiple products. Initial investigations point to a widespread Azure incident.

Brightspace functionality has been restored, and Information Technology Services (ITS) is currently monitoring.

Identified - Information Technology Services (ITS) has confirmed that Brightspace has been impacted by the Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage. Although services are improving, users may continue to experience some slowness or outages. D2L is continuing to work to resolve this as quickly as possible.
