System Support Services (SSS) will be updating our Data Domain in the UGA Data Center. The Data Domain itself will only be unavailable for about 45 minutes. For those who aren’t familiar with our backup architecture, the Data Domain functions as the storage endpoint for all our backups. Most backups run at night but boost assisted database backups run continuously throughout the day. Therefore, those backups will be paused while the Data Domain is unavailable but should automatically resume once the Data Domain is back online.

This maintenance will occur on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
