The splicing team has determined that the damage is located approximately 12 feet underground. The splice crew may require a larger excavator and a shoring box. Work continues to access the damaged cable. No ETR at this time.

An issue has been identified near high voltage lines in Taylorsville for the GHBC-SCT fiber cut. They are currently awaiting an excavator (ETA 1 hour). There is no ETR at this time.

Information Technology Services (ITS) is reporting a fiber break affecting network access on the span from Kennesaw State University - Marietta Campus (SCT) to Georgia Highlands College - Bartow Center (GHBC). Technicians are currently working to resolve this issue.
