Local Area Network Problems at Georgia Southwestern University 2/8/2010

WHAT: Approximately 5:45 p.m. OIIT was notified by Georgia Southwestern University of local area network problems at the institution's campus site.
These problems are impacting the Georgia Southwestern University on-campus access to the Internet, to Board of Regents (BOR) Enterprise applications, and BOR services that include
- E-mail communications with students, faculty, or staff
- Student access to GeorgiaVIEW through local area (on-campus) network resources
- Access to GeorgiaVIEW is possible for off-campus users at http://gsw.view.usg.edu.
These problems are being addressed by local institution resources.
WHEN: Monday, 2/8/2010, 5:45 p.m.
WHY: Local area network connection problems affecting on-campus resources and access to the Internet.
There is no estimated time of repair. The OIIT Helpdesk will post updates if they are provided by the institution.
